An Information Technology

I talked to my uncle who has had a lot of experience in farming. He turn the small family farm into a large operation. So I figured he would have seen a lot of technological advancement. He mentioned a  DTN machine or Data Transmission Network. This is a display that shows relevant information to farmers like price per ton of corn or milk and the weather patterns for the coming days. The farmers can in turn use this information to know when to harvest crops and also protect themselves from bad price acceptance. Since this was just a display he said mastering it was really easy. He then went on to say that the technology did not really change anything about farming it just made his job easier. And as a career farmer it did not make is job more enjoyable as he stated it was all just easier. It was actually interesting to learn about how farms can use information technologies to make there life easier.
